Hi, Iā€™m Justine!

(she/her)

I am a therapeutic counsellor, life coach and yogi teacher and I am humbled and grateful to be residing on the traditional and unceded territory of Sinixt tum-ula7xw, the Sylik and Ktunaxa First Nation people colonially known as Nelson, BC.

My Approach

My approach is collaborative and compassion based. I draw from the therapeutic modalities of client-centred, trauma-informed and body-centred perspectives. My aim is to provide a non-judgemental space for you to explore your struggles, expand your capacity for regulation and discover effective tools and resources to support your resilience and potential to live more in alignment in your life.

About Me

Personal anxieties about not feeling connected and grounded in my body led me on a healing journey. Nine years ago, I discovered the support of yoga, breath-work, counselling, and coaching. These tools are transformative and gave me an anchor point in life. This allowed me to feel empowered in my body and nervous system and release old maladaptive coping patterns that no longer serve me. Like the roots of a pine tree, balance and compassion soon expanded and grounded my life.

For the past decade, I have worked in the social service sector facilitating life skills youth groups, advocating for women and children, and providing care for at-risk youth. I have had the opportunity and honour to build a yoga community, own a studio, and teach community-led yoga classes and workshops.

I am continually humbled and amazed by life's challenges; I believe if we take the time to slow down and connect, profound opportunities for growth and healing are waiting to blossom. It would be my honour to walk with you through your healing journey and process.
